FOOD24 is an innovative catering system that lets customers reserve or buy meals through a web application and collect them around the clock. Food is stored under controlled refrigeration at +3 °C. The system consists of hardware and software.
HARDWARE
A dispensing point comprising a smart, internet-connected vending machine refrigerated to +3 °C.
Eight rotating trays, each 12 cm high and configurable into four to eight compartments. Together, they can hold up to 64 meal portions in less than 1 m² of floor space.
A mini PC with a 10-inch touchscreen and integrated QR code reader.
LED lighting and low energy consumption.
A UPS backup power supply connected to the internal mini PC to support operation during power outages or fluctuations.
A compact refrigeration system and quick dispensing.
Automatically opening and closing doors with an adjustable opening time.
Removable trays for easy cleaning and maintenance.
SOFTWARE
The FOOD24 SYSTEM web application lets users log in, select a day and time, and, where applicable, choose a dispensing location.
Users can view nutritional information and other details for each meal, then reserve and pay for their chosen meal.
An administrator interface makes it easy to manage the entire system, from creating user accounts to maintaining the full menu.
Administrators can view and download detailed reports, including sales, best-selling meals and orders. Reports can also be exported to Excel.
